Its that time again...Hit that line, Hit that line...

Well the smack talk hasn't really stopped since the Hogs were supposed to play the Horns 2 weeks ago. So..Daniel woke up to this yesturday morning! They are everywhere and now we are at war!
Daniel just loves this song.. (big smiles)

Hit that line! Hit that line! Keep on going,
Take that ball right down the field!
Give a cheer. Rah! Rah! Never fear. Rah! Rah!
Arkansas will never yield!
On your toes, Razorbacks, to the finish,
Carry on with all your might!
For it's A-A-A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S for Arkansas!
Fight! Fight! Fi-i-i-ght!

Finally in a Spot and Pictures

Below are pictures from our trip up to Omaha. Some are from the first Cabela's we stayed in Kansas City, KS and the motor speedway that was next door. The others are from Kansas City to Omaha Cabela's.

We are all settled in and in our spot for the next 3 months. Daniel really likes his job. He said he thinks it is going to be easy and he will learn some new techniques. I have been slowly looking to see what the town offers..its only Tuesday! There is a ski area about 5 miles from where we are staying and Daniel can't wait for the snow!!
We met a really nice couple from Corpus Christi who travel as well and have been on the road for 6 years. We are excited to have meet a young couple to do things with. The guys are already talking about crab legs at Harrah's, hiking, and hunting!

On a total side note...I can't believe the weather here today its 73 and the trees are starting to change! I came (I get to say this for real) into town to do some shopping (haha that cracks me up) and am at Whole Foods and its cold in here! Well I better get my shopping done.. I will get some pictures of the park for you all to marvel at!

A home...

We are in Omaha, NE and looking for a place to call home. A quick update...we have spent 2 nights in different Cabela's..oh how nice they are to let travelers stay there!

Please let Daniel have the calm in him to keep it cool until we find a home! Oh please Oh please!! ;)
Signing off from Burger King..
Melissa

Update..

Ok so we found a "home" for now it is Honeycreek, Iowa (on the NE, Iowa border) and its pretty typical of what one might think as Iowa. We are in a cornfield with nothing around for about 15 miles! I know we are going have some experiences to talk about..we already do!! We have had another day of looking for an RV park, spending time on the phone, driving to sites, and searching at WiFi spots. Who knew the places you would think might have internet, don't and those that you don't think do!! We tried to find a park in Omaha and well..lets just say we didn't like the looks of them. We found the place around 3 and drove back out here after a trip to get an internet connect card and the must have ground turkey. It was an experiencing day..but we loved and enjoyed it! We are in our temporary spot for a night and then a move again tomorrow for a better spot (according to the owner) that is blocked from the wind and the snow plow won't hit us with deep snow..YEA you read that right. Apparently last year it snowed at thanksgiving and in a few weeks it will start getting cold. Anyway, pictures to come and many stories about the owner. He is one we will never forget!! Here is a preview he hadn't been to town in four months until yesterday...and he won't go back..it was to much..hmmm Pictures to come!
I also heard about the Hogs through updates from mama and daddy and all I can say is...Boys, Boys, Boys you better get ready! Daniel made sure to tell me the Horns won. Not good!

Friends, Friends, Friends, and Goodbye Carthage

The past few weeks have been spent seeing friends, packing up, attending birthdays, a wedding, and spending time with my parents. I spent a week with them after Labor Day and had a great time keeping them in line. I met Daniel in Springdale for a dog show on Saturday..however due to the weather it was canceled and Daniel was a sad boy. We ended up having a good weekend hanging out with friends in the area. Sat was Kerryanne's birthday and her friends from work thew her a party. We stopped by and she has the best work friends! It was great to see you Kerryanne and meet all of the people I hear so much about. On Sunday my parents came up to get my dads truck and have lunch with Daniel and I and Cassie and Adam. We met at MiMi's (super yummy) and walked around the Promenade to look at the art that was set up for a festival. Cass - It was so good to see you and Adam! I hope your grandmother Stephens is doing better.

The next week I finished packing things up and we had dinner with our neighbors in the park several times. We met some nice people who are traveling with their job just as we are. Below are several pictures to wrap up Carthage. When we found out the Hog and Horns game had been postponed I was super excited to give those HOGS a few more weeks to practice..Oh and smack talking continues!! I left on Thursday after lunch with Daniel and his coworkers to head to Arkansas for Kylie's rehearsal and wedding. It was very nice to meet and see both their families. Friday was spent getting ready and relaxing with Kylie. They got married at a cute little restaurant the Spavinaw Supper Club in Gravett,AR. Kylie and Brett got married outside on the creek and finished the night with dancing under the lanterns on the patio. Their wedding was very nice and I don't think they could be happier! I am so honored to have been a part of their special day! Have a great honeymoon guys!

Saturday Daniel and I had lunch with Kylie, Brett, and Andrea before we began the process of moving the 5th wheel. We were a little nervous with the weather and rain since we had not moved it a distance before. After a day of pulling it from one place to another Daniel and I made it to Fayetteville in time for Shannon's birthday get together. We meet Shannon and Jason along with Cassie and Adam and a few more at Theos on Dickson. It was great to be able to spend time with them before we left town! These ladies were a big part of my college years! Happy Birthday Shannon I know you had a great day on Sunday!

Sunday Daniel and I went to White Rock Mountain a place everyone should visit. It is beautiful, so relaxing, and not far from anywhere. We took the puppies with us and had a great time hiking. Daniel wants to go back and stay in the cabins in the winter. He has heard many stories about his place as my dad grew up going there, and I did as well. Its so rustic with beautiful views..its right up our alley! We took lots of of pictures so you can see below!

Monday was Daniels birthday and we were able to spend the entire day together! Daniel had to take a Nebraska law test in Fort Smith and after that we spent time hanging out until my parents came up to have dinner. He had a great birthday and got lots of nice presents to represent his Horns in Cornhusker Land!!!

We are anxiously awaiting what Omaha holds and can not wait to begin another journey. We are going to miss being so close to my parents as well as new friends we have made and the old ones we have reconnected with! I know we will see you all again soon..so get ready for us to come visit! Thank you mama and daddy for all you have done for us (watching our puppies, letting us come in and spread out for the weekend, grocery shop in your cabinets ;), and just having fun with us while we have been so close!
Keep us in your thoughts for easy and safe travels the next few days!

Happy Birthday Daniel!

With all the commotion of packing, moving, a wedding, birthday party, horrific rain, and a law test I completely forgot to post before Daniel's birthday! He had a great day with gorgeous weather and was so excited to spend it together after his test. After dinner we made a quick trip to WM and my mom and I found these masks..We all had fun with them! We headed back home for presents and Daniel's fav cheese cake! We are staying with my parents until we head to Omaha later this week! More to come later..from the past few weeks!

Oh the smack talking...

Everyone knows I am a HUGE Razorback fan!! Lets be honest my four years of college I spent everyday with my boys (this is how the female trainers referred to the players ) on the practice field! I have a very special place in my heart for them and I grew up loving the Razorbacks with both parents attending the University.

I was however, in Austin for 5 years and yes in the past few I have on occasion had to yell for the Horns. To be honest (oh I do hope Daniel doesn't read this) I would secretly be rooting on the other team! HA

Well the smack talk is officially in full force. It began almost a year ago at our wedding with continued smack phone calls between family and friends! Over the past 2 weeks it has become an increasing topic but this weekend marked the full on battle!! I would never (oh I hope he doesn't read this) admit to him I am a little nervous! So this is a big Call to those HOGS!! Don't me down boys and BEAT those horns! Wooo Pig Sooie!!!

Live, Laugh, Love Everyday

This past weekend Daniel and I spent much needed time with family..we are leaving soon!! Ben was in for the weekend, as Ann went to California to visit her sister and Aunt. It sounded like she was having a great time shopping and hanging out. We got a play by play over the weekend..Ann we felt like you were here!
Three days were spent relaxing, trying new recipes, and enjoying the outdoors! It is always so nice to be at home for a few days.

It amazing how things can change in an instant and how life has paths you can not foresee. Daniels Aunt Toole went into the hospital and has been in and out of ICU and CCU over the last 2 weeks. She has had Fibromyalgia for several years along with other complicated unrelated and some undiagnosed medical problems. I know she has been all over the country in search of an answer for her illness. She went into the hospital and family members were told she was the sickest patient there. After seeing a few days of improvement she began having seizures and is still in ICU. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Also, one of my sorority sisters recently gave birth to a little boy ten weeks early with a heart condition. Leighton Clement H. has Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome and is in the NICU at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. Please say a little prayer for Leighton and his family today. He is having his first surgery today to help repair his heart.

Words for the day: "Live, Laugh, and Love Everyday"!! We love all of you..even if we don't have a chance to say it everyday!
